Principal Message:

In this Husky Strong message you will find information on our Musical Production - Hairspray, Community informationg, HHS. SWAG, and school events.

Parents & Students,

The time has come for another amazing production from our performing arts students here at H Town. After winning the 2017-18 Best High School Musical in the State for last year's "Les Miserables," the Hillcrest Performing Arts Department is back with the Tony Award-Winning Best Musical "Hairspray."  You won't want to miss this hopeful and high-energy show. Last year, the musical completely sold out and we had to turn many people away, so make sure to get your tickets early!  For ticket information go to

Musical productions are open to the general student body to participate. This production, just as previous musicals performed at Hillcrest, involves our theatre, choir, orchestra, band and dance students as well as general student body for a grand total of 350 students.  All of these students are putting in long hours to deliver a perfect show.  In addition to the performers, we have the stage crew who do such an amazing job making everything from sets, lights, stunts and sound all come together to make this year’s musical absolutely stunning.  As principal, I am amazed at the time and efforts put forth by faculty and students who have participated in these productions.

However, none of this would be possible without the support of the parents and community of Hillcrest, which is key and appreciated.  Hillcrest Performing Arts Association continues to support the arts at HHS.  This parent support group has donated countless hours over the years to the students and community of HHS.  Events such as these don’t happen without all of us coming together and supporting the idea of doing hard and big things.  This production is a huge thing and we hope all involved and attending have a meaningful experience.
