AES ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP
Criteria: Available to high school seniors and current college students. Write an essay of 500-1,000 words on the topic, "Reflecting on your personal experiences and/or circumstances, tell us something about yourself that distinguishes you as a potential scholarship candidate." Include your full name as well as the name of your high school and your plans for next year. Awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluating the essays that are submitted. Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. Undocumented students may apply.
Award: $500

COCA-COLA SCHOLARS PROGRAM (FOUR NOMINATIONS PER SCHOOL)
Criteria: Applicant must be a current high school senior, have a minimum 3.0 GPA at end of junior year, be planning to attend college after graduation, demonstrate leadership in school, have commitment to your community, show academic achievement. Semi-finalists will complete an additional application. Finalists will be invited to Atlanta for personal interviews.
Award: $10,000 - $20,000

COLLEGE JUMPSTART SCHOLARSHIP
Criteria: Available to high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors and current college students. To be considered for this award, you must be committed to going to college and be able to express your goals for getting a higher education. Submit an online application, including an essay.
Award: $250 - $1,500

Horatio Alger Assocation of Distinguished Americans
Horatio Alger Scholarship Programs specifically assist high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. While many programs are directed primarily to recognizing academic achievement or leadership potential, the Horatio Alger Association seeks students who have exhibited determination, integrity, and perseverance in overcoming adversity, as well as have critical financial need
Award: $6,000 to 25,000
Deadline: October 25, 2019
 
HARLEQUIN DANCE SCHOLARSHIP 
Criteria: Harlequin Dance will be awarding 4 scholarships each month throughout the year (contest ends on the last business day of each month by 1:00 pm MST). Submit your dance video on YouTube. Winners will be selected through a combination of online votes and a panel of judges.
Award: $250 cash
Deadline: The last business day of each month 
JACK KENT COOKE YOUNG ARTIST AWARD (FROM THE TOP)
Criteria: Eligibility is limited to pre-college classical musicians who demonstrate exceptional musical talent, unmet financial need, and solid academic achievement.
Award: Approximately 25 students will receive up to $10,000 in suppport to assist with music-related needs (such as tuition, training, or equipment), will perform on a live taping of From the Top and will participate in a Cultural Leadership workshop.

Scholarship America: Dream Award   

Deadline: October 15, 2018

Requirements: Open to undergraduate students who have completed at least one semester of college with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).  Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. The goal of the scholarship is to assist students from across the nation entering their second year or higher of education beyond high school. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice. The awards will grow in amount each year, allowing students to receive aid throughout their college careers.

SOMOS (UTAH HISPANIC BUSINESS LEADERSHIP FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP)
Criteria: 2.0 or above GPA, but most recipients have above a 3.0. Student must be of Hispanic/Latino descent and have demonstrated leadership and/or community service. Must be planning to attend a Utah college, university, or vocational school. Application includes a brief personal history, two letters of recommendation, and a transcript. See the website below for more information. All scholarship winners must be present at the Scholarship Gala  to receive the award.
Award: $2,500-$15,000 (average is $4,000)

Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship
Criteria: Has "The Walking Dead" got you thinking what you might do if your streets were filled with flesh-eating zombies? Maybe you've envisioned your own post-apocalyptic world overrun with the living dead, forcing you to come up with a zombie survival plan – and quick!
